Long veil
A cathedral veil, a bare shoulder and a still winter window — the calmest morning of the year.

Nina's dress was entirely plain, so the veil carried the whole silhouette. We kept the hair completely smooth beneath it and finished the skin with a satin, unpowdered glow to catch the low winter light.
There was no rush in this morning at all. We worked slowly, with the window open, and finished twenty minutes early.
The touch-up kit was never opened.
